More Fetus-In-Fetu
I'm watching an ABC News Primetime "Medical Mysteries" show. The topic is mostly twins, including a segment on fetus-in-fetu. I'm curious how the condition will be presented.
ETA: Good case report of a fetus-in-fetu; sensationalism kept to a minimum. [Except, what was it with those doctors being so surprised? Preop imaging studies anyone?] Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS) segment. In my opinion, too much emphasis on finger crossing, emotions, and magical thinking, and too little discussion of the difficult risk/benefit analysis needed to insure the best possible outcome.
And for all of you amateur diagnosticians out there, here's more on eosinophilic pneumonia.
