Roman Polanski Set to Flee Switzerland
As you know, the Swiss have decided to grant Roman Polanski bail:
A bracelet will allow police to monitor Polanski , but the device does not include a global positioning system to track him should he escape.
“We can only check if the person is at home," Jonas Peter Weber, a professor at the University of Bern, told the Times. "If the alarm goes off and no police is in the vicinity, the person will be able to flee.”
...
Meanwhile, Polanski's lawyers in the U.S. will attempt to have his case dismissed for good on Dec. 10.
So, time to place your bets. When does Polanski flee? Will he wait until Dec. 10 or is he gone within the first 24 to 48 hours?

Oh, within 24 hours, definitely! Unless he waits a couple more days to get his packing done.
I think so, too. He might have to go to his chalet and pretend to settle in if he gets a police escort from prison. But I don't expect him to hang around for more than 24-48 hours.
