Google Notices My Blog

I score a Google rank hit--#4 out of 1,830,000 hits--with my post on...wait for it...public nudity.

Not birth control. Not how to skip your period. Not emergency contraception. Nooo, it's my really important work that gets noticed by Google. Good to know.

That post on the Dove ad campaign was very good. Because I thought your analysis was good, and because I'm always interested in deconstructions of advertising images, I included it in my surfing guide for BlogHer.

In the past, I've linked to other posts at Well-Timed Period that were more on-topic.

As for Google, obviously I don't know the inner workings of how results are ranked, but if you're interested I'm sure someone there would help explain it.

Thank you! It's just that I couldn't help noticing the irony of a post on a topic I have no particular expertise on being so highly (and quickly) ranked.
